OUR STORY
In August 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, two visionary founders, Rahul and Aniket founded “AgrowNexus” (Formerly known as Aggroww, a Capital Trading Company), embarked on a mission to revolutionize the agricultural supply chain. Witnessing the disruptions and inefficiencies in the unorganized sector, they saw an opportunity to bring order and efficiency to the critical industry. As COVID-19 disrupted the world, the duo faced initial setbacks – supply chain interruptions, logistical nightmares, and a hesitant market. However, they swiftly adapted, leveraging technology to bridge gaps. AgroNexus offered farmers a link to various type of buyers, reducing intermediary layers and ensuring fairer prices.
Pooling their diverse skills – Aniket with a background in operations & logistics and Rahul with a deep understanding of agriculture. Their aim was to seamlessly connect Indian farmers with distributors, Retailers and international Buyers.
Government regulations and fluctuating commodity prices tested their mettle, but AgrowNexus navigated the complexities with strategic partnerships and continuous adaptation. The founders’ commitment to sustainability also attracted investors and socially responsible consumers, propelling the company’s growth.
AgroNexus success wasn’t just in its methodological innovation but also in its human-centric approach. The founders collaborated closely with local communities, understanding their unique challenges and tailoring solutions that addressed them. This approach fostered trust and a sense of partnership among all stakeholders. As the platform gained traction, more farmers joined, appreciating the fair pricing and timely payments. Distributors and retailers, on the other end, benefited from a streamlined supply chain that reduced waste and ensured fresher produce on the shelves.
Despite challenges, they expanded their reach beyond India, tapping into international markets, creating a global network for agricultural trade. By mid-2021, AgrowNexus had grown into a formidable force in the Agri-supply chain industry. The founders’ dedication and the platform’s impact were recognized by Farmers & Buyers for their contribution to agricultural sustainability and resilience during the pandemic.
Today, AgroNexus stands as an Uprising Startup in Agri Sector, not just by overcoming the hurdles of its inception during pandemic but thriving in a once-unorganized sector. Rahul and Aniket’s journey symbolizes the power of resilience, innovation, and the transformative impact of businesses focused on positive change.
As a rapidly growing organization, they realized that in order to scale up as a company nationally and internationally they needed a stronger team that resonates with their mission. This is when, AgrowNexus added Swapnil to their core team in January 23 for his strong networking, sales & marketing, client-handling, and investor relationships expertise. By the end of this year, the fourth pillar Tarik joins AgrowNexus to transform everything into Technology that was done manually with his 18 years of technical expertise. Along with technical, Tarik also brings his network, optimizing operations, and financial expertise to the table.
AgrowNexus has already raised a pre-seed round for an undisclosed amount in November 2023 and is now geared up to expand its operations to the other tier 1 Indian cities and a few other international locations like UAE, US, and Canada.
